Nest Learning Thermostat – 2nd Gen ~$49.55 + tax on $180 (AR YMMV, Coupon, Staples GC) – Lowes

Lowes has the 2nd Gen for $ 199 just like Amazon, Home Depot & Nest. Pickup $ 200 in Lowes gift cards ($ 40 off) fromhere. Grab a movers 10% coupon from the post office (lots of threads on this). If you are a Georgia Power customer, then you can also get $ 89.55 back in a rebate for buying a programmable thermostat (rebatehere). I’m guessing other local power companies may offer similar incentives if you don’t live in GA.

Here’s the break down:

$ 199 – $ 19.9 (10% coupon) = $ 179.10 – $ 40 in gift card savings – $ 89.55 (50% rebate on purchase price) = $ 49.55 + tax on the initial $ 179.10

In my case I ended up with a few extra dollars on a Lowes gift card and I confirmed with GA Power that you can use the rebate for multiple thermostats in the same year, so I picked up two.

Good luck – the Lowes gift cards are getting scarce and tomorrow is the last day for the Nest deal at Lowes.

I was in Sam’s Club in Dallas & noticed that they had the Finish Dishwashing tabs for $ 13.78 + $ 3 discount. The pallet had a mix of boxes containing 100 tablets boxes AND 130 tablet boxes which had a30% BONUS.

I ended up purchasing two 130 count boxes for $ 10.78 each box. The total comes out to $ .0892 per tablet. This is the best price I’ve seen so far. YMMV of course.

refurbished JBL portable speakers at Fry’s Electronics B&M YMMV

I was at a Fry’s Electronics store today in Duluth Georgia and found that they had shelves of recertified (refurbished) of JBL portable speakers. I saw the Charge, Flip, and Clip for $ 75, $ 50, and $ 29, respectively. I picked up the Charge to replace my old one who’s battery had bit the dust.

I opened a few boxes that they were all the speaker with case (if applicable) and cord with power adapter. Colors varied as well.

Good deal if you happen to be in the market for any of these. I would have preferred the Charge 2+, but at $ 75 I couldn’t pass it up.
